January is just about up.

This first month of 2008 has given me many things to think about. Let's all remember something trivial about the month.

It's 2008!
Yeah.

12 years ago, I went to a One Act Play rehearsal simply to help out until they found someone to play the part of Hortensio for the school's play.

7 years ago, I started back to school, having moved out of Vanessa's apartment and having quit the trucking industry.

6 years ago, I visited Texas.

I can't believe its the 8th year of the 21st Century.

Yes I can believe it, I just did that for dramatic effect.

2008 started much the same way 2007 started, a few minutes after the final quarter hour of 2007.

Blah blah blah...

What a waste of a Blog post.

I should take a little more time to develop an actual worthwhile post before publishing crap on the web.

Oh well. I'll post a better one next time.

Recovering from Vacation

Well, my week of vacation is over and I came back to work a new man.

Ha.

Day One was quiet and Kris called home every 30 minutes. I enjoyed playing Second Sight and it was nice. A few items came in the mail. I took Kris for a shot and we had a quiet dinner.

Day Two was frustrating. Kris and Annie were both home sick and I spent the day with nagging and whining. Fun. Jacob came home and began his little emo ranting that he should get this and we should do that and this and that and, I closed his door and went back to the computer.

Day Three was a Friday. More of the same. I was more stressed out by having to deal with it than from work. At this time I wished I was back at work or at least somewhere I could not be immediately reached by anyone with a pulse.

Day Four was quiet. Kris and Annie went out to her parent's house and were there for most of the afternoon. I relaxed and played more Second Sight on the computer.

Day Five was ok. Kris went back out to her parent's house for a while. Jacob. Ehh. I missed Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles on Fox. Bummer. I didn't know this until Wednesday, though. I also missed the FATPD game at Fairchild, but wasn't really up for playing.

Day Six (Monday) was quiet and relaxing. No kids until about 3. Nice. I did get to watch Star Trek Enterprise, which was good.

Day Seven was quiet and relaxing. But After Kris came back from Jacob's Dr's Appointment, she was generally pissed off and let me have both barrels. I generally ignored most of it and went to watch TV. That's it.

My Vacation was pathetic. Next year, I'm gonna take vacation after a payday, so I'll have money to do something.

Vacation time

This week, I'm going to take some time off from work and try to enjoy 5 days off. I say "try to" because i know I'll be a nervous wreck after day two. This is my first ever paid vacation and I can honestly say that after the Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years Fiasco, I am looking forward to some quiet time at home.

Justice and Stuff

I don't understand how it is I end up getting griped out by Kris when her inconsiderate daughter is the person who caused this mess? I have very little tolerance for the uppity BS Andrea pulls when it comes to getting her from point A to point B.

Because she has zero organization skills and is 100% pure procrastination, she almost never is able to do anything requiring foresight or planning. This usually means we get important information 5 minutes before she has to have it, usually under the threat of her failing something or losing something important.

There is a second side to this that frustrate the crap out of me. She is blatantly inconsiderate and self-centered. This means unless its something she need immediately, she doesn't bother with anything that require extra effort on her part.

So when I am asked to pick her up or take her somewhere, she is never ready to leave or prepared for her trip on time. This is not from lack of being reminded or encouraged, mind you, but from her flat refusing to do anything she is told.

Andrea has a severe problem with authority. She outright refuses to follow instructions, follow orders, or do anything she doesn't want to do, regardless of whether or not it is beneficial to her.

I don't have much tolerance for this crap because it usually means wasting 30 - hour waiting for her, just because she failed to follow instructions, such as being told to have everything prepared when you arrive so that you can leave.

Yeah. That's not Andrea's style. She is all about not doing anything until the last minute, and then try to work overtime to get it finished. But, in true Annie style, doing everything as half-assed as possible so that her mere effort results in complete failure.

I despise that kind of thing and it pushes my buttons to the point that I will flat refuse to have anything to do with her. This pisses Kris off completely.

Maybe it is me being anal or expecting something from someone who is completely incapable of showing any consideration to anyone. If a person is going to take time out of their life to make effort on your behalf, the very least you should reciprocate is by not making them half to wait excessively for you to come up with your side of the deal.

In this case, I had gone out to pick her up from her aunt's house and she had been told to be ready to leave when I got there or she would be left behind. I sat there waiting for ten minutes, honking the horn, and then going up to knock on the door. No answer, no Annie. SO, I left.

When I got home, I explained to Kris what happened. Kris got pissed at me. And I'm in the dog house...

Big deal. If she can't be considerate, follow directions, or be ready to go when her ride gets there, that is her problem.
